The Reason

The Father proclaimed; It's a Savior they need;
A man, but yet God, whose birth they will heed.
Take notice He said, of the one I will send,
For He had no beginning;
Nor will there be an end.
His name will be Yeshua; He'll not enter in sin.
He will battle against Satan,
And your life, He will win.
He'll be obedient to all, and set an example,
Of how to serve one another;
His love will be boundless,
To both Gentile and Jew;
And though many will forsake Him,
He'll remain faithful to you.
One will betray Him and sell Him to the crowd;
And let His blood be upon us;
They will cry out loud.
His gentle face will be spat upon, and brutally torn.
His strong body will be ravaged,
And by fierce beatings, worn.
Why won't He resist? What will He gain?
He'll say; For your salvation,
Is the reason, I came!
